Postdoc opportunity at Notre Dame Radiation Lab Subject: Postdoc opportunity at Notre Dame Radiation
Lab I am looking for a new postdoc to work on reactions of small free radicals in high temperature and supercritical water. I'm pretty flexible in terms of what this person will do, so I will look for the best candidate, regardless of background. There are numerous theory/simulation projects I would like to undertake, possibly in collaboration with Dan Chipman here at the Notre Dame Radiation Laboratory. A theoretician who would like to try some experimentation might work out. On the other hand there are lots of experiments to be done, both by laser excitation and with pulse radiolysis. I have plans to do both optical detection and EPR, and perhaps even transient conductivity in supercritical water. An experimentalist trained in kinetic methods, who would like to try his hand at some theory, would work out well. Finally, there are applications to corrosion and H2 production in nuclear power plants, so chemical engineers are included in my invitation to apply. Please let your students know about the opportunity here at Notre Dame, and pass along the information to your colleagues as well. Sincerely, David M. Bartels |
